Their Story

Looking to bring together support, near and far, for a wonderful family walking the difficult path of a cancer diagnosis in a loved one.

If you've ever eaten meat or enjoyed milk, through some degrees of separation, you're connected to the Wavrunek family. Joe, his wife, and their 4 kids have dedicated their lives to farming. Approximately eight years ago, he began the conversion of their farm to an organic farm. In 2008, the farm was certified and they began a relationship with the Organic Valley Coop. They lovingly, around the clock, care for 65 cattle without the use of antibiotics, GMO feed, or pesticides.
Despite this environmental change, Joe developed cancer. He has been monitored closely for the past 5 years and progression was minimal. Now the cancer has a prominent presence in his life. With this comes more treatments and more treatments means more cost to Joe and his family.
Please consider sharing some love with an amazing family, caring for one another and their farm. Thank you!
